What is Lino? Lino (Linoleum) was invented in the 1860’s by Britain’s Frederick Walton in Staines, UK and is made from linseed oil and other natural raw materials. Lino is a beautiful, extremely durable, easy to maintain and environmentally friendly flooring product. It is also a hygienic flooring option approved by the Britishish Allergy Foundation. Lino is know for it stunning marbled design and is available in a wide range of beauitful, vibrant colours suitable for both domestic and commercial properties.
Lino is often refered to as Marmoleum, however Marmoleum is actual the brand name of leading Lino manufacture Forbo. Forbo produce their highly distinctive coloured mabled Lino designed in sheet, tiles and planks as well as produce recommended adhesives. Capitol Carpets are a recommended retailer by Forbo Flooring.
Lino is produced in 2m wide as well as tiles. Sheet Lino can be installed in larger areas using a matching colour weld coil to weld the seams or with the joins tighly adjacent to one another to give a neat finish. Sheet lino is templated to an area before installation.
